    Why is the 13th constellation Ophiuchus no longer used?

    The constellation Ophiuchus is often referred to as the 13th Zodiac constellation because the sun is staying in between 30 November and 18 December. However, it does not belong to the zodiac sign of the astrologers, probably because earlier the constellation Scorpio was defined a little larger than it is today.



    The zodiac is a zone in the sky, moving through which the sun, moon and planets. Because of the precession of the Earth's axis, the twelve-known constellations used by astrologers no longer correct now anyway consistent with these astronomical constellations. For example, the constellation Pisces falls today along with the zodiac sign of Aries.

    And the 13 zodiacal constellation, the Serpent Bearer, never played a role in astrology. It would - as indicated above - classified in order of constellations between Scorpio and Sagittarius
