I would like to make some suggestions about the types of resources to include in this Group. The focus is on resources that will be of help to academics/scholars/researchers/policy makers. I would like this to be as broad as possible, to envelop not only scholars of pre-modern Japanese religion, but also cultural anthropologists studying twittering in China.

Some important resources are: peer-reviewed resources (online, but print can be included too) of an academic nature; databases of primary-source information, from respected institutions, that will inform research.

Other sorts of resources to include here are: collections of news resources (print, audio, video); collections of images resources; links to focused library pages, especially ones that seem to be updated frequently; listservs that researchers should be aware of.

Blogs are useful if you feel they contribute to academic/research discussions or concerns.

One thing that we might not want to include are language studies resources -- there are more focused groups that those things should go to.

For all resources, as time permits please try to put notes that explain why you feel the resource would be important.

Looking forward to all contributions and discussions!

    Alison
