Here are my top 20 TED Talks podcasts for busy principals and superintendents (in no particular order). These are the TED presentations that I think are most likely to interest, educate, and entertain administrators - from Scott McLeod's blog: Dangerously Irrelevant

It runs better than any other browser and is built by a community of developers around the world who are passionate about improving the browser and the Web. Best of all, Firefox is free.

The keyword is automatic. We have to find ways to short circuit the automatic execution of programs (good or bad), so that a hidden malware does not penetrate our system. The idea then is to change the way Windows handles the autorun.inf file. The methods expressed here are majorly for Windows XP.

Just food for thought

Kids these days have it all-their own laptops, cell phones, music players, and even digital cameras. A new report from the NPD Group says that use of these devices has grown by an "impressive" rate among 4 to 14 year olds, and that their usage is even changing over time as technology matures.

The Engineering is Elementary project will produce 20 curricular units. The table below describes the units' focal science and engineering fields, the storybook title, and the country in which the unit is set.
