Filmmaker Shirish Kunder has quashed rumours that the release date of "Joker" has been advanced from Aug 31 to July 27. "JOKER releases on August 31. All rumours living or dead are purely work of someone's imagination," tweeted Kunder. "Joker", a 3D film, features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha as the lead pair.

Shirish Kunder says that he has scrapped plans to release his next project "Joker" in 3D, considering the fate of recent 3D films at the box office. "JOKER will release in 2D format.
