Hi Susan! I attended your APES institute in Monterey a couple years ago and came away with so many helpful lessons and strategies. I feel like a top-notch APES teacher, yet I have a very low success rate of students passing the test (less than 20% get a 3 or higher). I'm curious what other schools are getting... and opening a discussion topic around effective test-prep strategies. Anyone???

I received a classroom set of "Liquid Gold: California's Water" though this program and used it in my classes this year. The "Student Edition" informational booklet was SO well organized with historical summaries and opposing sides of issues. It also comes with the "Student Workbook" that has about 14 pages of worksheets. I felt that part was a pit overkill (in terms of wasted paper), because the questions could have been consolidated into about 4 pages. Still, it was beautifully laid out and easy for students to follow. I Highly Recommend this!
