This article two ever warring countries of North Korea and South Korea have once again tried their hand at peace talks. The talks included Hwang Pyong So and Kim Yang Gon on North Korea's side, the political director of North Korean military and a negotiator with South Korea since the days of Kim Jong Il respectively. Hwang specifically can speak for Kim Jong Un is a good indicator of what the regime's leader wants from these talks. From the South came Kim Kwan-jin who is the advisor on matters of national security for the president of South Korea and the Unification Minister Hong Yong-pyo. There is an expected amount of mistrust on both sides what with North Korea having been identified as the culprit for the landmine that wounded two soldiers, and North Korea is distrustful of South Korea because South Korea is broadcasting propaganda into North Korean territory and because U.S. and South Korean soldiers have a special training program together, which the North believes is the training to launch an attack on Pyongyang. This event shows the theme of Region because of the many regions that could be drawn around and within these two countries. For example, North and South Korea have similar languages and lineage, and thus a region may be mapped around both countries based on those parameters. However the two countries have vastly different political and economic systems, so based on those parameters, two different regions would be mapped around North Korea and South Korea.
