The most US immigrants were tallied between 1994 and 1997, as well as between 2006 and 2009. One could infer that this is because of people looking for economic advancement. The immigration and number of immigrants becoming US citizens was at an all time low between 1946 and 1955, most likely because of World War 2. Ever since the big rise in 1994, the numbers have stayed steady above 375,000 people becoming US citizens.

What up Nathan I like the inference. I agree with everything, and the low numbers in the 40's and 50's could also be attributed to quota systems at the time.
