Obviously this site is biased (basically the opposite of the NRA), but it seems like they have some pretty good stats. And if you want to look up gun laws by state: http://smartgunlaws.org/gun-laws-matter-2012-understanding-the-link-between-weak-laws-and-gun-violence/ And you can just click on the state and it'll give a summary of that state's gun laws.

Using the US mortality data from the World Health Organization, researchers calculated that approximately 185,866 years have been stolen (so far in 2013 alone).
