Oscar Robertson, "The Big O" as he is known, is considered one of the greatest players in the history of basketball at any level. In fact, there is a strong argument that he is one of the top 3 or 4 players to ever play the game of basketball. In 2000, Robertson was voted the "Player of the Century" by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, besting names such as Jordan, Chamberlain and Bird.

Choosing the top basketball power forwards of all-time is a much more challenging a chore than many think. There are many questions that must be addressed, the most challenging being how to compare generations and who is really a power forward instead of a center or small forward.

Ranking the greatest college basketball players ever is not so easy a task. You have to compare across position, time periods, and competition levels, not to mention that any basis for a ranking is completely subjective.
