Dragoon meant a soldier on horseback. They would attack and fight on horses. Their leader for part of the American revolution was Banastre Tarleton.

This is the river the British invaded from. If they controlled the river they can starve the People of Quebec and Montcalm would have to come out at some time.

This colony is the one that Wolfe and Montcalm fought over. Wolfe had to get Montcalm to come out so he could fight him. He had to fight him before the Winter came.

Tobacco was a way of making money. The slaves planted it and plucked it but the owners were the ones that got the money. Back then the more land you had with tobacco the wealthier you are

When cotton came around they still sold tobacco but cotton was more valuable.

America was one of the last to end slavery. It took 200 years to do this.

People that worked for this kind of slavery were known as indentured servants. Indentured servants were mostly white. They were also treated better than any of the other slaves. They could have their freedom after the time they promised to the specific person is over.

This rule was a little different. It is known that if the mother of the children was a slve then the children were slaves too. But if the mother is free then the children are free too.
