President-elect Donald Trump has disclosed owning millions of dollars of stock in companies with business pending before the U.S. government and whose value could rise as a result of his policies.

"More than 20 students at a southwestern Virginia high school were suspended Thursday after wearing clothing bearing the Confederate flag in protest of school policy."

The students who are representing the flag may represent it for their own reason but if it offends other people because it's known widely for the racism coming from it in history.

The flag was created to show the support for slavery, it was the face of the southern states, the reason they flew it high and proudly was to fight FOR slavery, not just to show pride. It was offensive then, it's offensive now.

Unemployment dropped by 0.3 percentage points, to 4.6 percent, last month - the lowest rate since 2007 - according to the monthly jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The report says the U.S. added 178,000 new jobs in November. That's about what economists had expected.

This is definitely beneficial to the economy that there are more people in the country working, though the decrease in wages seems bad, the overall benefit is much greater. And plus its still greater than it was last year so it's all good

I think this is ridiculous. The pipeline is off of their grounds, and is on property purchased by Energy Transfer Partners. This is out of their control and they deserve to be arrested for trespassing (which they are) and the government should be able to use force to remove them from the site (Which they are also doing).

I think any president makes promises they can't keep, but that's part of getting elected. At least other presidents have made realistic promises, but I think Trump's promises during his campaign were just fabricated lies to get people to vote for him. How dull can voters be if they think this man would actually build a giant wall between America and Mexico and make them pay for it?

When you first see that Donald Trump was named person of the year by TIME it really makes you wonder. After reading this article though it did answer many questions for me. For example, why? According to time it's not about being the best person it's more of who made a greater impact (good or bad). Which he did. He went from a casino owning business man, to President Elect Trump-- doing everything in his hands to influence the people of America to think in a pretty white way if you ask me. Either way, this was a good article it really did answer many questions I had. I bet this was the first time they voted someone person of the year by starting off-- hey it's not that we are on his side, but he made a big splash this year and we wrote on him.

I don't think he should be the person of the year because even though he says he is going to do good things and has done some good things he has also done very bad things and said things about people.

It's very unlikely that all or even most of Trump's cabinet nominees will be confirmed by the Senate Friday, but tradition means that the members of President Barack Obama's current cabinet all depart at noon, leaving many posts without permanent leaders on Day One of Trump's presidency.
