The American Civil Liberties Union has asked for a second time that the Supreme Court invalidate Myriad Genetics Inc. 's patents on two genes associated with hereditary breast and ovarian cancers , the latest salvo in a case with broad consequences for the future of gene-based medicine.

Edie Windsor, the 83-year-old lesbian who sued the United States government for discriminatory treatment under the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), expressed optimism today that the Supreme Court will strike down the 17-year old law. "I think it went beautifully," Windsor said from outside of the court after today's oral arguments in United States v.

Supreme court refused to hear a case about a football coach kneeling after games and praying quietly to himself. The coach lost his job for it.

I dunno, I believe it'd be nice if Trump won but the case probably won't make it to the Supreme court due to lack of evidence

There isn't any substantial evidence to say that this election was ever fraudulent and I don't think that even if this makes it to the courts that they will find anything or rule in Trumps favor regardless of how they feel about the election

Still, to today, there is no evidence of fraud

Interesting issue. Biological father suing for visitation rights for baby he relinquished custody over when he and girlfriend put the infant up for adoption. I am curious to know what you think should happen.

I feel bad for both sides of this issue and most of all the child in which it involves. Although I believe that the child should be in custody of their biological father.

These situations are always sad in my opinion. I really feel bad for the biological father but I don't think he should get custody of his daughter. He signed away his custodial rights for whatever reason and he shouldn't, in my opinion, be able to back track on that after his daughter was adopted by another couple. The adoptive couple raised her for two years and they formed a bond and loving relationship which would be unfair to both the couple and the little girl to take away because the father decided to "take back" his custodial rights after giving them up.

I think they're really having trouble with the vacant seat, leaving it open or filling it, at least at some point. I think they should fill it, if not now then maybe soon, and let's hope that it will be a good person at a good time.

People are getting really ridiculous with this prayer thing. If you don't agree, don't say "Amen". It's the same as if you don't like the pledge of allegiance and so you don't put your hand over your heart but you stand. Just deal with it. We have no choice but to hear the pledge, so you shouldn't make a big deal about something that has always gone on and has never harmed anyone.

Buck needs better lawyers. I hope they do not execute him. I hope the justices can clear this up.

It made me kinda angry when it said that he got a death sentence instead of life imprisonment,because he would be more dangerous in the future because he is black. That makes no sense to me. the color of your skin doesn't effect the person you are or at least it shouldn't. Any person can be violent.
