Create your own "Choose Your Own Adventure" story
--------------
I can see this as a fab way to incorporate research, creativity, and critical thinking (21st century learning) with historical events. For example, what if George Washington hadn't decided to have his troops inoculated against the smallpox epidemic during the Revolutionary War -- How would that have affected the casualty rate? -- and from there the adventure could show a possible different outcome.
This would be a great activity to promote community awareness while meeting reading and writing standards. Can probably be modified into a persuasive unit.
