We are proud to bring to you the world's largest collection of original, vintage photochroms, comprising over 1,300 different images of United States, Canada, Mexico and Cuba.

This collection of photographs from the Detroit Publishing Company Collection includes over 25,000 glass negatives and transparencies as well as about 300 color photolithograph prints, mostly of the eastern United States. The collection includes the work of a number of photographers, one of whom was the well known photographer William Henry Jackson.

Since 1955, the World Press Photo Foundation is awarding the most striking and representative images that have documented and illustrated the events of our times in the press. The winners of the photography contest are exhibited this year in 100 cities in 45 countries and is still expanding. The plethora of exhibition venues hardly justify why World Press Photo is so wantonly careless about the way the images are exhibited

The Aldrich is one of the few non-collecting contemporary art museums in the United States. Founded on Ridgefield's historic Main Street in 1964, the Museum enjoys the curatorial independence of an alternative space while maintaining the registrarial and art-handling standards of a national institution. Exhibitions feature work by emerging and mid-career artists, and education programs help adults and children to connect to today's world through contemporary art. The Museum is located at 258 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT 06877.

Established in 1974, the McKee Gallery specializes in leading contemporary painters and sculptors. The gallery is located on 5th avenue in New York City, between 57th and 58th street on the east side of the avenue, 4th floor.

I write, read, draw, cook, craft, walk my dog, ride my bike, recite mantras during a storm, daydream, jog, dance, meditate, perform sun salutations, and sunbathe when possible.

It is true that art museums are about the stubborn, matter-of-factness of things: the works of art. But access to the Art Institute's collection has always been enhanced by words and reproduced images.
