I chose YouTube as a business education web 2.0 tool because many businesses use YouTube to launch alternate marketing campaigns. A recent example is Old Spice. The "Old Spice Guy" responded to messages that were submitted via Twitter. The result was both personal and entertaining.

For those students who are interested in YouTube, this provides a safer area with the focus on education - could be very motivating for some. It lets students work on a group video as well as independent videos online with possibilities to comment and discuss. Teachers could use it to view what their actual teaching looks like as a way to increase their effectiveness in the classroom as a professional development activity. Has contests, tutorials, tips, and videos on increasing effectiveness in producing videos.

  A few of the students I have taught and now teach, have experienced traumatic brain injury. Watching this story reminded me of the stories they have shared or their parents have shared with me. It is amazing how a person can recover, what is recovered, and how it affects learning and attitude. This is what grounds me as a teacher. I don't know what trauma my students have endured before they met me, at the high school level. And how do I help them prepare for the future?
