There are a number of HTML5 testing sites (like HTML5TEST), but this one has an interesting way of grouping key features into Rings. Ring 0 is not too difficult to reach, but there are very few browsers that go beyond Ring 0 these days.

This article about Pair Programming is an excellent description of the process and how it can improve productivity. The company, Xtreme Labs, has set work hours and they are still very productive. Xtreme Labs is a mobile app developer primarily from Toronto that is growing extremely quickly.

There was some discussion at the CEMC conference about coding guidelines. I found this excellent article about the topic of Reading Code and best practices. I plan to use this in my senior (ICS4U) course early to set the standards and probably a simplified version after a few months in ICS3U.

An excellent TED video from a cybercrime and malware expert. My class found this video quite funny and Mikko covers some excellent ground from the curriculum.

This recent story is a good example of impact and dangers of social media websites and "free" email services like Gmail. The impact and consequences for this case are also clearly explained (up to 121 years in jail is significant !!).
