As promised, here comes my article on the various non-pharmaceutical procedures available for acne treatment. In certain patients the oral and topical medication may not have the desired effect, i.e., resolution of pimples. In such cases, there are various other options available that can help in achieving the desired goal.

Acne vulgaris (commonly known as pimples) is a disease involving the sebaceous glands or oil glands that is present on the skin. The common areas affected by acne are face, chest, and back in the same order. It is a disease of teenagers, in adolescent age group, and can persist up to 25 years of age.
