Mark Felling flew from Jaipur to Mumbai on IndiGo in 2012. Laws had recently been changed that said they had to carry wheelchairs, including power chairs in cargo without extra luggage fees. Jaipur medium-sized airport and staff not informed of these regulations. Attempted to charge $400 for power chair but talking to manager they called airlines headquarters to clarify and finally after one hour we were cleared. Staff very helpful. Security unsure how to deal with wheelchair required me to get out of wheelchair using Comfort Carrier and sit in a chair nearby while they tried to process through scanners. Simply lack of experience but good attitudes.
