Personally, I enjoy this show. Specialized film cameras could do this for years, but they were very expensive to own and operate. Technology now makes it much easier. The pioneer of the high speed film cameras was Harold Edgerton. Well worth a look if you have the time. Colorful Convection Currents at Steve Spangler Science - 0 views

Vicki Davis 08 Feb 12 11:51:18 I know Steve Spangler sells a lot of science things on his website, but I just enjoy him. I like how he explains things and how he uses colorful, attractive things in his science experiments. If you're a science teacher, I think you'll enjoy browsing the experiments on his website. Here is one on convection currents. He shares how to do all of the experiments, so you don't have to buy anything from him. This is a great example of how you can be helpful and people want to buy from you.

Lost Ladybug Project - 0 views

  •
Across North America ladybug species distribution is changing. Over the past twenty years several native ladybugs that were once very common have become extremely rare. During this same time ladybugs from other places have greatly increased both their numbers and range. Some ladybugs are simply found in new places. This is happening very quickly and we don't know how, or why, or what impact it will have on ladybug diversity or the role that ladybugs play in keeping plant-feeding insect populations low. We're asking you to join us in finding out where all the ladybugs have gone so we can try to prevent more native species from becoming so rare."
