This site is an ongoing collaboration between the World Resources Institute's Global Forest Watch Project and the Institute for Man and the Environment in the Amazon (Imazon). In this site, you will find spatial data layers and analyses about the Brazilian Amazon, and you will be able to query for specific information and print custom maps. Available datasets are organized by themes. Individual layers within themes can be viewed by checking the box next to each layer and pre-selected queries (to the right) are also available. Ways in which to use Google maps...I didn't know you can text them for directions: If you can still eke out an SMS message, you can text GOOGLE with a message formatted as "Directions A to B," substituting a town, ZIP code, or street address for A and B.

Gunn Map 2 is an online application which allows you to create customizable maps with any compatible set of data you have available. GunnMap is free. A beautifully made search engine for old maps. A great resource for history and geography projects. Just scroll or search the location and choose the map you wish to view
