"Twiplomacy is the first-ever global study of world leaders on Twitter. The governments of almost two-thirds of the 193 UN member countries have a presence on Twitter: 45% of the 264 accounts analysed are personal accounts of heads of state and government, but just 30 world leaders tweet themselves and very few on a regular basis."

Global Connections encourages school leaders worldwide to develop global consciousness and to promote international cooperation in their schools.

More than 100 science academies around the world have called on world leaders to take action on population and consumption at the Rio+20 summit. They say past failures on these issues threaten the natural world and prospects for future generations. The science academies include the UK's Royal Society as well as its peers in countries at all stages of development.
