While M.O.O.C success stories seem limited or hard to find, their use in the workplace is not. I've attached articles I'm reading about using them for "career advancement or professional development", and an article about employers having their employees take them to stay current.
Great work, Rick! The statistics in the second article are convincing, and I like that it specifies which majors are likely to get jobs. The third article has great points on how to teach MOOCs in a more social and engaging way.
The 3rd highlight i made in the "Back to School" article brings up a good point. M.O.O.C's would be useful for those who graduate college with a degree in Film for instance, but choose to become an Editor and require specialized experience without the need to pay for more classes.
