The AutoCorrect feature in Word 2016 fixes hundreds of common typos and spelling errors on-the-fly. You have to be quick to see it in action. For example, in Word you can't type the word mispell (with only one s). That's because AutoCorrect fixes that typo the split second that you press the spacebar. AutoCorrect also converts common text shortcuts into their proper characters. For example, type (C) and AutoCorrect properly inserts the © copyright symbol. Ditto for (TM) for the trademark. Typing - -> is translated into an arrow, and even :) becomes a happy face.

Microsoft Word's table templates are great timesavers. With them, you can quickly apply your own custom formatting to any table in Word. Here's how to create your own table style and save it as a template. The easiest way to create your own table template is to start with one of Word's built-in table styles and then tweak it to your preferences. Go to the Insert tab and click Table. insert table - www.office.com/setup Mouse over the squares in the table grid to select the number of columns and rows you want in the table. Click on the last square to insert the table. Word will now switch you to the Design tab for formatting the table. Click inside the table. Select a style from the Table Styles gallery and take note of the style name. We are excited to announce that the Cloud Storage Partner Program (CSPP) is now available for the Office apps on Android devices. Office on Windows desktops has long supported partner integrations that let you open and edit documents from a wide variety of storage locations. The CSPP, previously available for Office on iOS and Office Online, ensures that Office is the best way to get work done on all platforms, wherever your documents are stored. It's easy to add a cloud storage provider from the Add a place menu in the latest versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint on Android. Then you can edit and share your documents stored with that provider as easily as you do with those stored on OneDrive.
