Dubai: Motorists across the country struggled with reduced visibility for a second day on Wednesday as fog blanketed the UAE. Motorists reported traffic snarls during the morning rush hours in cities across the emirates. Weather forecasters said more fog is expected in the next several days. On Tuesday, school buses and the office crowd were delayed as horizontal visibility fell below 50 metres, leading to several accidents on the highways that resulted in minor injuries to some people. Traffic jams were reported in some cases. However, no fatal accident was reported.

Despite the fact that numerous clients feel QuickBooks Online is their best choice, they aren't reserved about indicating out its deficiencies. The product positions a tedious 2/5 stars in light of 180 surveys on G2 Crowd. Intuit gets only 1/5 stars taking into account 130 rankings at Consumer Affairs over the previous year (this incorporates all Intuit items; while QBO is specified, most remarks identify with the privately introduced variant of QuickBooks)...

Abdelilah Benkirane (Abdullah Ibn Kiran) - 0 views

  •
Not much is known about Abdelilah Benkirane (Abdullah Ibn Kiran), chairman of the Islamic Justice and Development Party which won elections Morocco. Muslim leaders are generally not interested in talking much about their personal lives and that is why they represent a challenge for most journalists. Benkirane seems different because he welcomed the call he received from Al Arabiya though he was surrounded by a cheering crowd to congratulate him after he was commissioned by King Mohammed VI to form the first elected government in the history of Morocco.

Google pulling the rug out again? - www.office.com/setup - 0 views

  •
Remember the vintage game "Pull the Rug Out?" It is a board game where players stack different items on top of a rug. Eventually, one of the players tries to pull out the rug without tumbling the pieces stacked on top of it. Google's recent announcement that it is phasing out several additional services, including the highly popular Google Reader, reminded me of this game, as I recall that the stack most always toppled to the ground. Google introduced Google Reader, gradually built up its popularity, and then pulled the rug out with little warning, causing its customers to stumble. As one Google customer put it: "Google spends millions of wasted dollars on pet projects, then kills one of their best products on a whim." Google's most recent spring cleaning brings the total number of services it has discontinued to 70 in just a year-and-a-half. That's right-a whopping 70 services that have been shut down in just 18 months. Among the services Google will discontinue with little warning is Google Cloud Connect, introduced with a lot of fanfare just two years ago. Cloud Connect is a plug-in that enables Google users to share and edit Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel files. To continue collaborating with Microsoft Office, Google users have just four weeks to uninstall Cloud Connect and install Google Drive. Companies that can't get to it by April 30 will be out of luck, leaving them without a way to collaborate on Office documents used by millions of employees, partners, and customers. But of all the services Google is discontinuing this time, the one that's drawing the biggest backlash is Google Reader, a service used by hundreds of thousands of users to keep track of their favorite websites and blogs via RSS feeds. The news of Google Reader's shut down drew outrage from users, who put together a petition demanding that Google reinstate the service. "Our confidence in Google's other products - Gmail, YouTube, and yes, even Plus - req

Sway vs PowerPoint: What's the difference? - www.office.com/setup - 0 views

  •
www.office.com/setup Blogs: Sway: Microsoft Office presentation software. PowerPoint: Microsoft Office presentation software. So what's the difference? You're watching Jeopardy! when the presenter utters the following answer in keeping with the game show's famous format: "A software tool from Microsoft for creating presentations, web-based reports and projects." Quick as a flash you spit out the question in unison with the contestant: "What is PowerPoint?" To your astonishment, presenter Alex Trebek shakes his head and utters a curt "No". The correct question was "What is Sway?" To the best of our knowledge, that scenario has yet to surface on the American quiz show, but it's hypothetically possible. After all, there are a number of similarities between PowerPoint and Sway on first inspection: Both are part of Microsoft Office Both can be used to create rich presentations Both support multimedia including video, audio and images Both feature customisable templates There's no disputing that there are areas where PowerPoint and Sway overlap. But if you're thinking Sway is just a web-based clone of PowerPoint, think again - each piece of software has highly specific functions. It's well worth familiarising yourself with the differences between the two, cos if you Sway when you're meant to PowerPoint, you're gonna have a bad time. POWERPOINT IN A PARAGRAPH As the world's preeminent slideshow software, PowerPoint requires no introduction. From classroom projects to delivering keynote addresses, Microsoft's easy to use presentation software has graced overhead projectors on every continent. Slides; audience handouts; speaker's notes. Whatever you choose to create and however you choose to deliver your story, PowerPoint makes it simple. SWAY IN SUMMARY Sway is an online presentation and storytelling app that's free for anyone with a Microsoft or Office 365 account. The newest addition to Microsoft Office, Sway helps

The Impressive Showcase of SEMI-PERMANENT Sydney 2013 - 0 views

  •
Semi Permanent was started in Sydney in 2003 by Australians Andrew Johnstone and Murray Bell and has since become an international annual conference, spanning across 5 counties and 9 cities including London, Los Angeles and Stockholm. Semi Permanent is now synonymous with assembling industry leaders from all creative fields to present their work, inspirations, processes, insights and to simply share their creative journey with fellow peers over two jam-packed days. As always, there was an impressive showcase of amazing work that spanned across Graphic Design, Film, Animation, Motion Graphics, Architecture and Visual Effects. Illustration, Photography and Graffiti. Photographer Max Doyle showcased his diverse talent by entertaining us with a live jam of one of his songs. And of course it wouldn't be a design conference without the guys from Stab Magazine firing t-shirts into the crowd from a canon.
