Not much is known about Abdelilah Benkirane (Abdullah Ibn Kiran), chairman of the Islamic Justice and Development Party which won elections Morocco. Muslim leaders are generally not interested in talking much about their personal lives and that is why they represent a challenge for most journalists. Benkirane seems different because he welcomed the call he received from Al Arabiya though he was surrounded by a cheering crowd to congratulate him after he was commissioned by King Mohammed VI to form the first elected government in the history of Morocco.
