#1 tbes50203 on 19 Apr 25Hello, forum members. I'm thinking about moving from Florida to New York - I finally got the offer I dreamed of, and I'm already starting to mentally prepare for the change of climate, pace of life and, of course, all this logistics with things. To be honest, I've never moved such a distance before, the maximum was from one area of Miami to another. Now I feel like it will be a test. So far I've started googling transportation options, and National Movers often appears in the lists. Has anyone dealt with them when moving specifically from Florida to New York? Is it worth contacting them? I'm interested in real experience, not advertising reviews: how they pack, how punctual they are, do they break anything along the way and do they wind up in the process. It would be great if someone told me in detail - right step by step, because now my head is spinning from all this.

We also had a dilemma about the carrier, because there are many options, and even more reviews, and it is not so easy to figure out where the truth is and where it is just a pretty wrapper. We also eventually chose National Movers, and I can tell you how it all went for us. It all started with the fact that we left a request on the website - by the way, there is a pretty convenient calculator there to at least estimate the cost. Spoiler: the final price was slightly higher than the calculator showed, but not critically, they just took into account additional services. The manager quickly contacted us, asked a bunch of specific questions: how much furniture, do we need an elevator, what floor, do we pack it ourselves or they, do we need temporary storage. A very adequate approach, without pressure like "take the full package, otherwise everything will fall apart." We chose the option with partial packing - we packed clothes and books ourselves, and left the furniture and fragile items to them. On the day of the move, the team arrived on time (which was already a pleasant surprise, to be honest). They worked quickly, harmoniously, it was clear that the guys had experience. They wrapped everything, signed it, took pictures. I was really worried about the TV and the mirror in the bathroom - both arrived intact. The cargo took 3.5 days to arrive. It was convenient that you could track the location using the link that was sent to your email. Anyway, I won't overwhelm you with text, you can learn more on their website, good luck to you!

I was also considering National Movers then, but I ended up choosing a local company, but I heard a lot of good things about them. It's amazing how the "Florida - New York" route has become almost a classic for many.
