  I think it depends on the platform you're using. I wanted to start trading, but one of the platforms required my documents, so I quit.

  I don't think you should trust platforms like that, because most decent platforms don't need your documents to open an account unless your deposit is over 10k. Well, at least that's how it works at fxcess.com, and I trust this website 100%. I started trading on this website, and I stay there to this day.
