Automatic gates advice - 5 views

#1 willhallas on 15 Jun 25Hey folks, I could use a bit of advice. My parents are getting older and I've been thinking about upgrading their old manual driveway gate to something automatic. They live just outside San Jose, and opening that heavy thing in the rain is no joke.

#2 gingerann on 15 Jun 25We did the exact same thing last fall. Honestly, best decision ever. My dad used to struggle with the gate, especially at night, but now it's just a click from the car and done. We had these folks do it - here's where we found them: https://automaticgatemates.com/services/automatic-gates/. Smooth install, and they were really upfront about what would work best for our yard. Took us a while to compare automatic gate installers in Bay Area, but this team stood out for sure. No regrets so far!
