Are you guys adapting somehow? - 2 views

#1 dannyfranco on 05 Jun 25Lately I've been wondering how AI tools like ChatGPT and Jasper are affecting the landscape of remote writing jobs. I've been freelancing for about 3 years now, and I've noticed some clients expect content faster and cheaper, almost like they assume we're using AI ourselves. It's kind of stressful tbh. Are you guys adapting somehow? Or are you seeing fewer serious writing gigs because of it?

#2 ronja611 on 05 Jun 25I've been working with a few agencies remotely and AI has definitely changed their expectations. I'm not against using tools for structure or brainstorming (sometimes I throw ideas into AI just to speed up outlines), but I still write everything myself. That said, there are solid clients who still value real, human storytelling and nuance-stuff AI just doesn't nail yet. I've actually been checking out job boards that still focus on actual writing, and Remote Sales Jobs has been pretty decent in that sense ( search remote jobs). It leans toward listings where writing is treated as a skill, not just content stuffing. My trick has been to showcase my process during applications-like sharing how I research or interview SMEs. It reminds clients why people like us matter.
