A year ago, my wife and I had the idea of taking a vacation with no specific plan and just going wherever our eyes took us. That's how we ended up in the northwestern United States - first in Oregon, then we stopped in Washington, and then a little bit of Idaho. We didn't regret it once. The scenery changed every two hours, from ocean to forests, from mountains to small cozy towns. Everything is real, not touristy. I've been wanting to go back ever since. What are your impressions of the region? Why do you think it is worth loving?

I really understand that feeling. I myself came here just for a week a couple years ago, and now Idaho living and can't imagine leaving. I think the northwest of the USA is about tranquility and real nature. There are mountains, rivers, hot springs, and tons of hiking trails. The people are friendly, it doesn't have that "big city" feel, but still has everything you need. And then there are the true seasons. It's hot in the summer, golden foliage in the fall, and snow and coziness in the winter. I think it's in places like this that you start to appreciate the simple things - the air, the silence, the view from the window. In general, if I were to write a list of "10 reasons to love the Northwest", I would probably have 20 :)

I love reading discussions like this - always find new points on the map that I never thought of. The Northwest, by the way, somehow always flew past my attention, I was more focused on the south and the east coast. And now I even wonder - maybe this is really the "hidden" corner of America, which is worth seeing.
