I am new to this SL group. I have been using Diigo for a while and i work with educational research. So I am very interested in how Diigo-SecondLife can be used in education. I have been exploring secondlife and diigo lately as i am working on a paper on them. So it would be great if anyone could explain/bookmark how Diigo can mash into secondlife? The technology/API..
I am interested too, how to bridge the two systems. From the Web into SL there is an easy way to make connections. Leave in some wiki, annotation or some other page, where you have write access, a link via slurl. For the converse you need to learn the script language of SL or find someone who can script it. Until the end of year, the rumor goes, that you will have HTML on prims. If this feature is realized, this lends itself to resp. feature requests for Diigo, TrailFire and the other social annotation systems. Perhaps Diigo will even anticipate it ;-)
you might be interested to subscribe also to the SLED mailing list of SL educators or the SL researcher's list accessible via https://lists.secondlife.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/educators . It's appears to be obligatory to introduce oneself there with a personal intro, named "introduction". My first posting in the SLED mailinglist, as archived in this forum DiigoSecondlife bounced, although it was intented and (by human intelligence) interpretable as intro. So be warned :-)
