The parody is framed by the premise that Carolyn Keene (the pseudonym under which the Nancy Drew series was written) was actually Nancy Drew's roommate for a short time at Bryn Mawr, and basically stole Nancy's life from her out of jealousy, retelling all of her detecting adventures through a somewhat skewed lens.
