Coxsackievirus A6 is a positive-strand RNA virus that may cause hand, foot and mouth disease, herpes pharyngitis and demodicosis, etc. This kit is a real-time (rt) reverse transcriptase (RT) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test intended for the qualitative detection of coxsackievirus A6 nucleic acid from human throat swab samples. The test results are for clinical reference only and cannot be used as a basis for confirming or excluding cases alone.
