It is a rhythmic practice app, including various sets of rhythmic values for two measures. It has both a practice and test mode with metronome beats. It could be useful for students who need an extra rhythmic practice.

It is an excellent sight-reading reinforcement tool. I like the fact that it is on the grand staff using a keyboard. It monitors your rhythm and accuracy and provides feedback right away. The steady beat reinforces reading in time, and train to read faster. It is free also!

It is a great note reading tool for various levels. The best feature of the app is to be able to customize your practice with different key signatures, keyboard range and etc. I like the fact that it deals with 88 keys in a grand staff. I wish they could make multiple note/staff readings as well.

It is a great sight reading tool for beginner students. Being able to adjust levels, different key signatures, ledge line notes, both treble and bass clefs, scores and timers are great features for this app. Also users can also choose to have colored keyboard for helping to recognize notes for visual learners. Although it does not reinforce the counterpoint reading for both hands, it does a great job for one line reading.

Music Theory for Beginners for iPad on the iTunes App Store - 0 views

It is a great music theory app for beginners. A cool owl animation, sound and graphic design are children friendly. Lessons and quizzes include excellent variety. Tapping rhythms and sight-reading exercises are also good. I wish I could select random lessons without going through everything in order. Nonetheless it is a very interactive music theory app.

It is a great learning note app for beginners. It contains lessons to read music as well. Treble Clef is a series of apps, so there are other apps for triads and other topics separately.

It is a note review app for young beginners. It has a cute monkey image throughout, which is an age appropriate. Multiple choice questions make for children to get the answer right easily and its simplicity is great for the very early stage of music studies. However, the content is quite limited.

It is a highly customizable flash card app for piano teachers. It can be modified in any setting. It is on the grand staff and flexible to drill in letter names or solfege or piano keyboard. Reviewing incorrect notes afterwards is great to reinforce students' weak notes.

It is a simple treble clef flash cards. A score system adds challenge for the users. But it only covers the treble clef as its title, and there is no keyboard image or solfege.
