Primary Language forum - 0 views

  •
Look what i found! It´s a primary languages forum! It´s an email discussion list for primary teachers or anyone interested in primary languages. It is a place for discussion, peer support and sharing ideas and information. I´m my opinion is pretty complete. Email discussion lists enable a community of registered users to send and receive messages to each other by email. All contributions related to primary languages teaching and learning are welcomed. Typical topics include using ICT, cross-curricular approaches, curriculum planning, feedback on useful resources, primary languages policy and staff development.

Pumkin Online English Language Course for Children - 1 views

  •
Pumkin Online English is a good recourse designed for children who are beginners of English language study, aged 3-10, I find it interesting because this course enables children to master all the key English skills, teaching them the most essential basic English language, "covering over 500 words and sentences including English vocabulary for colors, numbers, body parts, the alphabet and basic sentence and question and answer structure". Furthermore it´s effective because it follows a classroom-tested English language teaching methodology, which includes three steps of English language learning: Presentation, Practice and Production (PPP methodology) of new English vocabulary and grammar. It could be a good supplement to our future pupils in their English language education!

Interactive English Games - 0 views

  •
These interactive English games are perfect for students learning English (3º cycle of Primary or Secondary, to be honest), as well for teachers who are looking for educational resources online (like us). There are a range of learning activities and practice exercises that will challenge children in a fun, interactive way. That´s quite interesting because the page is divided in topics which include: reading games, writing games, grammar games, and spelling games. Inside you can work about poetry, debating, dictionary use, sentence structure and much more. Some of the games are too traditionals, but some of them are quite good. Anyway it´s a good page to share with us, children like work with computers and, through these games, children can practise.

Phonics through multisensory teaching - 0 views

  •
Visual aids and movements help kids memorize letter combinations and their sounds. In this page you can find free downloads (two PDFs) about lyrics and movements that you can use for phonics. I advice you visit Heidi´s blog, it´s quite interesting, it shows you a good example with the general steps that you could follow in order to get your students to read words with the "sh" and "th" sounds in them. Some information about this method: Sounds Fun Phonics is a system of teaching phonics through music, movement, and a set of unique flashcards that give the children a visual and kinesthetic cue to help them easily remember and produce each sound. The music serves to reinforce these basic phonics rules and sound spelling patterns, so that they can learn to read, write, and spell quickly and easily.
