    The UK Home Office has announced some changes to the UK immigration law regarding the passing of British citizenship to children who were born from a British father out of wedlock. That law is taking effect on 6 April 2015. The UK Immigration Law before July 2006 stated that children could only acquire British citizenship through their father if their parents were married to each other.
