The Go For Broke National Education Center collection contains well-designed, engaging, standards-aligned, creative lessons that teach students about the experiences of Japanese-Americans during World War II. Beyond the historical content that is covered through research, videos, and readings, students have the opportunity to discuss key values such as self-reliance, teamwork, and loyalty. Highlights include a role-playing activity about volunteering for the military, an experiential exercise on teamwork, and an animated movie with documentary footage of the rescue of the lost battalion.
