Google X Lab, sometimes known as Google X,[1] is a secret facility run by Google thought to be located somewhere in the Bay Area of Northern California.[2] Work at the lab is overseen by Sergey Brin, one of Google's co-founders.[3]
Reportedly worked on at the lab is a list of 100 projects pertaining to future technologies such as a space elevator, self-driving car, augmented reality glasses, a neural network that uses semi-supervised learning, enabling speech recognition and extraction of objects from video - for instance detecting if a cat is in a frame of video,[4] and the Web of Things.[2]
Dito is one of the first Google Cloud Platform Partners, worldwide. We build apps and improve workflow using App Engine, Compute Engine, Apps Scripts, & more. Ask us about the projects we've done directly for Google.
"Upspin is an experimental project to build a framework for naming and sharing files and other data securely, uniformly, and globally: a global name system of sorts. It is not a file system, but a set of protocols and reference implementations that can be used to join things like file systems and other storage services to the name space.
Performance is not a primary goal. Uniformity and security are."
The web platform is composed of a large collection of interoperable standards that represent a solid foundation for building powerful apps. New standards are born on the cutting edge, where various organizations experiment with new capabilities. Those capabilities that capture the imagination of the broader community may eventually become a formal part of the web platform.
Diorama project now makes this possible. Instead of viewing a story playback, we let you experience your story at your own pace. You will be presented with many little play icons to click on. A treat is hidden under each of those icons waiting to be discovered. Be told about a local museum, a slideshow of a monument, see spectacular camera passes and hear a rich tapestry of 3D sounds. It is all there for you to explore in the story being told. Google Earth never felt more alive.
The Go programming language is an open source project to make programmers more productive. Go is expressive, concise, clean, and efficient. Its concurrency mechanisms make it easy to write programs that get the most out of multicore and networked machines, while its novel type system enables flexible and modular program construction. Go compiles quickly to machine code yet has the convenience of garbage collection and the power of run-time reflection. It's a fast, statically typed, compiled language that feels like a dynamically typed, interpreted language.
