The Pacific Science Center runs this site. There are several games that students can play that has Them identifying The nutrition They need and in what They eat. This site also helps students learn if what They're eating is healthy for Them.
It wasn't until after I registered that it hit me, I have these kits in my library! Teachers come in and drool over them because they're complete and most of the time, the kits the teachers have in their classrooms are completely empty. Teachers register for free and share their username and password with their students. This is the middle school module, they also have modules for K-2, and 3-6.
I came across these "old-fashioned" learning riddles/games that are still very valuable in developing various higher-order thinking skills.
To bring them into the 21st century, the teacher could use Twitter to tweet a different problem each day, and students could provide their answers via Twitter and also compare other their responses with those of their classmates. the same idea could be applied to Facebook, foursquare, or the other social networking sites that students use.
This is a 14+ game for use in teaching and understanding addiction, useful in health and psychology education. It's in English and free to download (PC only)

This website allows you to enter vocabulary words and be able to practice the words by clicking on two options, say word or use in a sentence. Once you have learned the word you are able to test as well as play games.
This website allows you to enter phrases which inturn associates the words to images. Students will be able to enter any phrase they want or they may visit the archive. This is fun and interative tool that can be used to enhance vocabulary words or as you see fit.
According to the website Chatzy is a good alterantive to facebook, skype, etc... You are allowed to start a quick private chat room that only allows people you invite to participate. the great thing about this is that it is free.
