Wide variety of things geographical in one sense or another. Alao a lot of depth in available offerings spanning back several issues in almost all areas. Nice interactive games and puzzles.

A site featuring dozens of games with social impact. Organized well by grade level.

I just like this game since I am a Psychology major, and the kids learn about this in elementary school. 3rd-6th.

Elementary Students. Students are given a number, and they have to match it with the right fact family.

High School. This is more a simulated tutorial with some interaction. The site is very informative.

Interactive simulation of travel to six different stars at selected speeds. A comparison of the time elapsed on Earth vs the time elapsed on the spaceship. Upon arrival back to Earth, information about how Earth has may have changed during the time gone on the trip is shown.

Contains three levels: Essence of simple machines where the player learns about all of the types of simple machines and mechanical advantage. Find the simple machine where the player finds the simple machines used in the construction of a lawnmower. Putting simple machines together where the player must correctly calculate the mechanical advantage of various simple machines used to complete a task.

Thinkport works in concert with Education Arcade, especially on Labyrinth. But Think port has some excellent offerings as well including a full STEM Consortium, ahd games that stretch the grade level gambit from PK-16.

It wasn't until after I registered that it hit me, I have these kits in my library! Teachers come in and drool over them because they're complete and most of the time, the kits the teachers have in their classrooms are completely empty. Teachers register for free and share their username and password with their students. This is the middle school module, they also have modules for K-2, and 3-6.

I came across these "old-fashioned" learning riddles/games that are still very valuable in developing various higher-order thinking skills. To bring them into the 21st century, the teacher could use Twitter to tweet a different problem each day, and students could provide their answers via Twitter and also compare other their responses with those of their classmates. The same idea could be applied to Facebook, foursquare, or the other social networking sites that students use.
