The South Asian aviation space is enjoying lenient rules in terms of finances and various airlines are utilising this liberty for growth and expansion. The aviation foray of the Wadia Group, GoAir, is another Indian LCC (low-cost carrier) to seek foreign aid for escalating its expansion plans.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which is the regulatory body in India under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, recently issued notices to three of the top no-frills carriers. This notice was issued to GoAir, IndiGo and SpiceJet for allegedly defying the restriction norms for payload in flights travelling to Patna and Jammu.

GoAir - one of the leading low-cost carriers of India recently announced that it has cut down on the free hand baggage limit by three kilograms. Earlier, passengers were allowed to carry up to 10 kilograms cabin luggage after online air ticket booking with this carrier.

GoAir recently announced cheap air ticket for its flights operated from Port Blair. A concession of 30 per cent will be provided on base fare on all the routes connecting Port Blair. It is not a limited period offer, so residents of Andaman and Nicobar can avail this offer for the whole year.
