cybermacs MIAU on 07 Jan 09This index comprises about 10500 names for far more than 100 spices and herbs. There is pretty full support for most European languages, although the Celtic languages (Irish, Welsh) are unsatisfyingly covered. A similar degree of completeness was aimed at with some national tongues of Asia (Turkish, Arabic, Persian, many Indic tongues, Chinese [Mandarin and some Cantonese], Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese and Korean), yet support is still incomplete with some others (Burmese, Khmer, Lao), where only the core vocabulary of those plants used locally is included. African and even more American languages are very badly represented in this index.
