As I was reading our text Shift on page 213 on advocacy it really got me thinking, because this is something that fits with me well. Particularly on page 13 it states, "Change will come through the success of many individual initiatives which become linked and amplified around the world and progressively change the character of international debate." In our book Shift, it states that skills and competencies become valuable because they are rare, and are seen to be rare. I particularly like this statement about this article, "how can someone working on a business application have sufficient knowledge in order to understand the strengths and weaknesses of a given vendor component when they haven't seen the source code?"
