Assistive Technology Services Offered and Fees | Shelley Haven ATP, RET - 0 views

  • Hourly Rate $132 per hour for time spent onsite or with client (e.g., training, assessment, and meetings), as well as for time providing specific services for a particular client (e.g., configuring their computer or software).  I have a flat one-hour charge for document review (reading evaluations, IEPs, etc.).  I don't charge for creating training materials, e-mails, or phone calls unless the phone call is scheduled as a meeting substitute (e.g., conference call to remotely attend an IEP meeting). Assistive Technology Assessments AT assessment costs vary depending on numerous factors, for example: the extent of solutions sought, whether classroom observations are needed, whether a written report is required, and IEP meeting attendance. Formal AT assessments with a written report generally range from $1300 to $2000 -- sometimes less, occasionally more -- depending on the factors mentioned above. Once we discuss the scope of what you need, I can provide an estimate (e.g., "no more than xx hours"). Travel For most locations in the Silicon Valley area within a one-hour roundtrip (generally San Mateo through San Jose), there is no charge for travel.  For other locations within the Bay Area, I charge $66/hour (half my hourly rate) to cover both mileage expenses and my time beyond that initial hour roundtrip (that is, the first hour of travel is always free).  If I can coordinate our appointment with another client in the same area, there is no travel charge.  To get an idea of travel time to your location, go to Google Maps, select "Get Directions" at top left, and determine the average driving time between Sunnyvale and your location.

EATS - Home Page - 0 views

  • EFFICIENCY of ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY and SERVICES
  • The objectives of EATS are threefold: to develop methodology for comprehensive assessments of assistive technology and services (AT&S), including socio-economic evaluation and effectiveness and cost-effectiveness issues. A holistic approach is taken, encopassing social values, including end-user preferences and quality of life. The special circumstances in disability and handicap are critical factors to be considered in the methodology to support decisions about assistive technologies and services (AT&S) and provide information on costs and effectiveness through dissemination of project results within the lead sector (TIDE) and national and international organisations to provide recommendations for implementing the results. Through compilation and development of methodology for comprehensive assesment of AT&S, a framework for evaluation of effectiveness and cost-effectiveness, focusing on user benefits and quality of life and costing for key actors in the society, will be provided.
