This is an Authentic eLearning resource that we developed for the University of Notre Dame in Broome's Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled Nurse). Originally the students in this course were remote learners across the Kimberley but the resource is now in demand by students on Campus as well as off.
The resource is very extensive so we have made a Unit of Competency available for you. It contains all of the features that the hospital has. Students are able to move around the resource as they wish; go back to previously viewed content, review learning activities and use various blogs and wikis that they and co-participants are using. The delivery platform at UND is Blackboard but this demonstration is in Moodle. To view the resource go to http://www.elearnaustralia.com.au/moodle and login with username diigo and password member@diigo1 This will take you to the demonstration area. You will find 2 resources available, the hospital and another Authentic eLearning resource "Sigh Bar Bay" that we have created for Surf Life Saving WA to train Australian Life Savers in the theory component of the Bronze Medallion. Both resources are 'living' resources in that they change and grow as new learning or content is needed.

There are two great learning environments here, both exemplifying the pedagogy of authentic learning!
