On the underside is a pique point bird. Four inlaid brass coffin handles and a brass breast plate complete the mountings on this coffin.

A stunning Ladies French Palais Royal Sewing Work Box from the Belle Epoch of Napoleon III. It opens to reveal a sewing theater.The exterior is a secure rectangular ebonized wood casket with inlaid brass banding and a brass blank cartouche.
