(CNN) -- Fall is upon us, and that means the school year is in full swing. Along with the stress of homework assignments and extracurricular activities, unfortunately some students bear an additional burden -- bullying. October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, pushing the issue to the forefront of the nation's consciousness.

"One in four people will show patterns of antisocial behavior at least once during their childhood and adolescence. From stealing to bullying, lying, or even committing violence, most people grow out of these behaviors."

A mother posted on her facebook about how her son is an expert marksmen, and hints at the though of him going to shoot anyone who has bullied him in high school. The case is still under investigation.

I think that the intent with this story was #6: carrying out a crime to terrorize others by sending a message to potential victims. She claimed that only the people who had ever bullied her son would be shot. I also think that her attitude toward the situation is #24: indifference to the actions and their impact on the victims, she doesn't seem to say that she would have remorse for anyone that her son could possibly harm, because it wouldn't be his fault. And #8 targeting people who are weak and helpless.

This story would contain items 1, 6, 12, 24. 1- because it seems like she's trying to scare them, 6- because again, it seems like she's terrorizing others with the fact that her son is a perfect marksmen, 12- you just don't put that out on facebook, and 24- she doesn't seem to care about other people and how it could possible effect them.

this is a sad story about a boy who's bully beat him up so bad he was in a comma then they put him on life support and he died.

That is terrible. How could someone be so cruel to another person?

San Diego, California (CNN) -- As evidenced by media stories and public awareness campaigns, Americans have resolved to get tough on bullying. In that spirit, it's time to send a message to bullies with badges. We need to tell police who prey on the vulnerable: "No more!

(CNN) -- A man filmed a group of girls attacking a 12-year-old girl in his neighbor's garden, and told Providence, Rhode Island, police he thought it was a prank. Two of the girls have been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy, and two others have been charged with simple assault and conspiracy, said Providence Police Sgt.

Ha, and they say bullying has gotten better.

This is absolutely ridiculous. No child should have to go through that. Bullying is getting worse. There are too many incidents like this happening and something needs to be change or someone is going to get seriously hurt.

Sad.
