Philips is all set to launch a high-end Android smartphone, the I908 in India. The company has listed the device on its Indian website, but hasn't revealed details regarding its price and availability. Coming to the specifications, the Philips I908 features a 5-inch IPS full HD display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the box.

Philips Electronics is making a comeback in the crowded Indian mobile phone market with a range of devices. However, the company is not entering alone and it has formed a strategic partnership with Chinese Electronics Corporation (CEC), which owns the license to market and sell its handsets.

The Philips Xenium X2466 comes with a keypad with large keys, SOS functions and a digital magnifier.
