  Recently while reading Reader's Digest, Apirl 2011 issue I came across an article entitled "Get Hired, Not Fired 50 Secrets Your HR Person Won't Tell You." I was reading the article hopingto find some clues to help my husband's job search and what I found was what I would consider poor examples of leadership -mostly poor examples of authentic leadership. For example, one HR person discussed a manager who would walk interviewees to their cars to see if there were careseats because he didn't want to hire parents. Another HR person stated that if one was put on a plan of improvement that they needed to start looking for another job because while he may look you in the eye and tell you he was going to do all he could to help you, he didn't mean it and in reality he was already looking for your replacement. The article was blunt and eye-opening to the dishonesty (and cheating) in the coporate world.
