    Michelangelo's David stands a near 17 foot tall in the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence Italy. It represents a bridge between traditional Roman artwork, and the Historical significant biblical story of David and Goliath.

    Traditionally David has always been shown during or after the epic biblical battle. Michelangelo captures a tense almost war ready David.

    I bring this famous statue to light in our ongoing discussion because of its current state. Below is a link concerning the danger this statue is in due to the construction project that in the works for Florence this summer.
